No step-by-step today, just a photo of the finished tag. I started with a manilla tag and used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to color the background. I added a little texture stamping and accented it with some Ranger Liquid Pearls in Ancient Gold. I ran a strip of brown ribbon down the side, then brushed the edges of the silk leaves with some distress ink and glued them on. The owl stamp is from a Dina Wakley bird set, and I stamped it on old dictionary paper and fussy cut it. I used wooden letters brushed with distress ink for the word Fall, and printed the sentiment onto cardstock and aged it with distress ink.
I tried several times to stamp the owl onto plain cardstock and use watercolor pencils, but I could never get it to look realistic. If you have an example of this stamp finished with watercolors, please link to it in the comments!
Blessings!
