How to Give Your Printed Papers a Vintage Look Without Coffee-Dying Them!

Hello and welcome! Today’s quick tip is the easy way to give your printed papers a vintage look without the time and mess of coffee- or tea-dying them. Just print them on tinted paper! As you can see in the photo above, this collage masterboard I created looks much different when printed on “vintage” card stock vs plain white card stock.

This is the product that I use: Neenah 90 pound Index 8.5×11 Ivory. That’s right, they call this color Ivory! What??? I would call this color Manila, as in Manila folders! But it turns out that Manila is the type of paper that folders are made of, not the color of the paper.

Regardless, the card stock is the same color as the a folder. In the above photo you can see several sheets of the Ivory card stock on top of a Manila folder. You tell me: are they the exact same color or not? But all’s well that ends well because I really like the vintage effect I get when I print on this card stock.

So there you have it! A quick way to get a vintage look when copying or printing for your junk journals, scrapbooking, tags, etc. If you have a favorite paper or card stock to print on, please tell me about it in the comments!

p.s. If you like the collage masterboard pictured in the example, you can download a free pdf to use for your own art projects!

Blessings,
